About Stefanie

Stefanie is a registered dietitian with over a decade of experience specializing in eating disorders and sports nutrition. Her clinical work focuses on supporting adolescents and adults with eating disorders, with particular expertise in severe and enduring anorexia and complex, long-standing relationships with food. She also works extensively with athletes navigating the intersection of recovery, body image, fueling, and performance demands.

Stefanie is known for her thoughtful, steady approach and her ability to work with clients for whom recovery has felt stuck, cyclical, or overwhelming. She brings deep respect for each person’s history and understands that meaningful change often happens gradually, especially in the context of chronic or relapsing eating disorders.

Background & Clinical Experience

Stefanie holds a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from McGill University and has spent the majority of her career working in outpatient and multidisciplinary settings. She has extensive experience collaborating with therapists, physicians, families, and—when appropriate—coaches to provide integrated, coordinated care.

A significant portion of Stefanie’s practice is dedicated to working with adolescents and athletes across a wide range of sports and levels, from recreational to elite. She currently works with a competitive swimming and diving team and has supported athletes in endurance sports, team sports, combat sports, and dance. This background allows her to deeply understand the pressures athletes face related to fueling, weight, injury, performance expectations, and identity.

Her dual specialization in eating disorders and sport enables her to support athletes who are struggling, returning to sport during recovery, or aiming to fuel adequately while maintaining long-term physical and mental health.

Philosophy of Care

Stefanie believes that effective nutrition therapy extends far beyond meal plans or prescriptive rules. Her work attends to the emotional, psychological, relational, and environmental factors that shape eating behaviors—especially for individuals with severe, enduring, or relapsing eating disorders.

She works at a pace that honors each client’s capacity, readiness, and lived experience, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, safety, and sustainability. Stefanie supports clients in building a more flexible, compassionate relationship with food, body, and movement—whether their goals involve recovery, returning to sport, or maintaining health over the long term.

Additional Services

In addition to individual nutrition counseling, Stefanie offers consultation, training, and workshops for sports teams, schools, clinics, and organizations. She also provides professional supervision and consultation for dietitians seeking support in eating disorder care, athlete nutrition, and complex clinical cases.
